It rained therefore I knit

For those of you who know what the weather is like here in New Mexico you know that it's pretty rare to have a whole afternoon of rain. This afternoon was the perfect opportunity to finish my sock. I even got laundry folded and put away too! Amazing.

Here she is.

And my rockin' girly checking out my work.

Time to cast on for the second one before I lose interest.

I guess I should also state that they really were easy to make. Thanks to this sock tutorial and help from Laurie at my Stitch 'n' Bitch I was able to visualize the heel flap and heel turn and get through it with only frogging once. I wish I had made these when we lived in New Hampshire!

  • When I lived in NM, they used to say 15" a year in precipitation, and it usually comes in one day. I remember that was true when I was there on several occasions (but I was in Roswell, a little more arid than Albuquerque!)

    I LOVE THE SOCK! ;)
